The Dorfblick house is located in Vernagt in a very sunny location, in the midst of the imposing Schnalstal mountains, on the path where Ötzi passed 5300 years ago. The house offers a unique view of the village Madonna di Senales with its majestic pilgrimage church.

Excellent starting point for hikes and excursions in summer and winter, the Schnalstal Valley ski area with glacier is only 7 km away. The bus stop is in the immediate vicinity, as are restaurants and shops.

Apartments and rooms in Senales Valley

The house Dorfblick with apartments and rooms was renovated and completely renewed in 2020, our highlight are the stylishly furnished common rooms, such as the lounge with fully equipped kitchen, the relaxation room and the pine sauna with a view.

In house Dorfblick we rent 4 rooms and 2 holiday apartments, newly and comfortably furnished, with space for two to four people. There is a storage room for skis and boots.

We offer a bread roll service on request. In the communal kitchen you will find various regional products (honey, jam, teas, wines, grappas …) and various drinks from the refrigerated display case. You can use W-LAN free of charge in the whole house.

Apartment Dorfblick A

The apartment with balcony is approx. 40m ² and offers space for 2-4 people.
Room with double bed; with shower/toilet/bidet; Living room with kitchen (equipped with dishes and cookware), 2 electric hobs, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, seating area, pull-out sofa bed; also 2x SAT / TV (4K) and room safe!

Apartment Dorfblick B

The apartment with a large panorama window is approx. 40m² and ideal for 2-4 people.
Room with double bed; with shower/toilet; Living room with kitchen (equipped with dishes and cookware), 2 electric hobs, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, seating area, pull-out sofa bed; also 2x SAT / TV (4K) and room safe!

Room 1-4

All double rooms are approx. 18m² to 20m².
Equipped with shower/toilet, fridge with freezer compartment, shelf with coffee machine and kettle, all rooms with SAT / TV (4K) and room safe, small seating area for breakfast, utensils for drinking and food are available in every room.

Notes: Since our house has a communal kitchen with a lounge and all rooms are on the ground floor, they are also perfect for couples, groups or families. You are welcome to obtain information on this, we will make you our detailed non-binding offer.

Prices

Apartment A & B: 89 € – 125 € per day for 2 people
Rooms 1-4: 39,50 € – 57,50 €per day for 1 person

Surcharge for the 3rd and 4th person: € 15 to € 20. Children up to 2 years free, 3 years up to 14 years 50% discount. For short stays of less than 3 nights, we reserve the right to charge a surcharge. We charge a surcharge for single use of a room.
Attention: prices vary depending on the season; plus local tax 3.00 € per day and person from 14 years.

Usefull informations:
Final cleaning, WiFi, use of the sauna with relaxation room, parking lot in front of the house, free ski bus, use of the communal kitchen, cozy bathrobes and bath towels are available free of charge

Good to know:
Bread roll service on request, dogs only on request, smoking not allowed in the house, ground floor barrier free, payment options: in cash, by credit card (Visa, EC, Mastercard) or in advance by bank transfer.
Check In & Check Out: The rooms are available from 2 p.m. on the day of arrival and we kindly ask our guests to vacate the rooms by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.

To confirm your booking, we ask you for a deposit per unit.
Cancellation: The general contractual conditions according to Article 1382 ZGB apply to the cancellation of stays and trips

Exclusively for our house guests:
In addition, guests receive the guest pass on arrival, which allows them to use all public transport free of charge.

Active in Schnalstal Valley

Conveniently located to get to the nearby “Vinschgau”, as well as the “Burggrafenamt” with the beautiful city of Merano. Whether on the way to sights, hiking or strolling through the city, the Vinschgau and the picturesque city of Merano have a lot to offer: Juval Castle by Reinhold Messner, the Churburg, the Marienberg monastery, several municipal facilities, such as the gardens of Trauttmannsdorff in Merano, the Therme of Merano, the well-developed cycle path connects the Burggrafeamt with the Vinschgau to Mals.
The Schnalstal Valley leads into the middle of the Ötztal mountains!

Schnalstal Valley, the 210 km² area is criss-crossed by countless hiking trails. This makes long hikes through beautiful forests, over fields and up into the high mountains possible. Flowers on the wayside, dark blue mountain lakes and a habitat for many wild animals, this is what the valley offers us!

A stop at one of the typical mountain farms, on an idyllic alpine pasture or in one of the Schnalser mountain huts complete the offer. From our Dorfblick house you start directly on the lake tour, on the Tisenhof-Raffeinhof-Finailhof farm hike, or on the Gfallhof-Gurschlhof farm, on the Berglalm high-altitude hike; those who want to go even higher go to the Nockspitze (2,700m), also to the Schröfwand (2,800m), not least to the Similaunhütte and from there to the world-famous Ötzi discovery site.
Those who want to walk from Dorfblick to the village Madonna di Senales ca be there in 15 minutes.

The Schnalstal Valley is a member of the European hiking villages!

Our ski area at the head of the valley extends from 2,000 meters above sea level up to 3,212 meters (Grawand, Hochjochgletscher), an area with guaranteed snow! From the village view, you can take the ski bus directly to the ski area and back again. In Kurzras you can expect the highest cable car in South Tyrol, as well as cable cars, chair lifts and ski lifts. In relation to its size, the ski area offers very varied slopes: blue, red and black slopes are available to choose from.
So wax your skis, buckle up and lets go!

If you leave your skis at home, you can rent them in the ski rental shop in Kurzras. A 3.3 km long toboggan run leads from the famous Lauzaunalm down into the valley, toboggans can be hired.
For those who like to hike in winter, with or without snowshoes, there are some well-groomed winter hiking trails available.

The Schnalstal Valley shaft drive occupies a special position on the summer pastures in the Ötztal. The transhumance over the Hochjoch and Niederjoch is now an international intangible UNESCO cultural heritage.
